Canyoning Experience
For this 100 % adrenalin-fuelled getaway, we're taking you to Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet to discover a fun, family-friendly activity.
Do you know what canyoning is?
If not, here's what you can expect... This sporting activity involves moving along the bed of a river and overcoming all the obstacles in front of you.
Jumping, sliding or abseiling, there's no limit to how far you can progress in these steep canyons and explore places that are difficult to access.
Nature lovers will be delighted...
That's the other attraction of this discipline. You'll be in an idyllic setting, in total harmony with Mother Nature. Waterfalls and limpid pools of water will follow one another to your delight, and believe us, between giggles and amazement, this day will remain engraved in your heart.

The Gorges de Galamus...
It takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach this marvellous site and the start of the activity.
Created by the waters of the Agly, these gorges offer not only a sublime setting but also a fantastic playground for canyoning.
Suitable for swimmers of all ages, from 7 to 77, this canyon is suitable for everyone, as there are no major difficulties and all obstacles can be avoided. The only requirement, of course, is that you know how to swim.
Please note: swimming is FORBIDDEN (by municipal decree) in the Gorges de Galamus.
The site is not suitable for swimming and access to the canyon is authorised ONLY for professionally supervised canyoning.
As well as being a listed and protected site, there is a serious shortage of water. What's more, swimming in the gorges causes nuisance and water pollution (sun cream, suntan oil, etc.), which disturbs the local flora and fauna.
After this great adventure, if you still have some energy left, you can extend the day by visiting the hermitage of Saint Antoine de Galamus.
Since the 14th century, a succession of hermits have looked after the site, living in the natural caves of the gorge and then constructing buildings, including the chapel of the hermitage.
Genuinely clinging to the rock and overlooking the canyon, you can enjoy a breathtaking view from up there.
This unusual and fascinating place is well worth spending some time in.
Then it's time to come back to the campsite and tell us your story, which will no doubt be full of juicy anecdotes.
