Fishing on foot

If you're staying at campsite Les îles *, let us be your guide.
For this half-day in South Brittany, we've got a tempting programme for you.
For one morning, try out an activity that's very popular in Brittany.<The advantage is that it's accessible to all ages, so it can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Slip on your boots, check the tides and set off for a morning of fishing.
The beaches of Southern Brittany are perfect for this type of leisure activity.
To collect oysters, mussels, cockles, prawns or clams, bring a small basket and a scraper.
Good to know: the best conditions for fishing on foot are during high tides. That's when the catch is greatest.
Head to Pointe du Bile (just a two-minute cycle ride away). When the ocean recedes, the beach becomes a real playground for fishermen.
It's important to comply with the rules governing fishing on foot (height, weight, kg).
You'll find all the information you need on a notice board near the beach.
After a few hours of fishing and a full basket, all you have to do is head back to the campsite to enjoy your catch!
