Chadotel environmental policy

From the outset, Chadotel has always been committed to preserving the environment. This concern for sustainability is deeply rooted in our identity, illustrated by our emblematic logo, which combines the pine cone with the words "Chadotel Naturellement". This symbol reflects our passion for nature and our desire to make a positive contribution to our planet while offering memorable holidays.

Preserving our natural environment

Our 13 campsites and 4 gîtes are located in a variety of environments, from southern Brittany to the beaches of the Catalan countryside. Aware of the exceptional beauty of these places, we have taken steps to preserve them from the outset. Every day, we work to maintain the ecological balance of our sites to ensure they are preserved for future generations.

Here is an overview of the measures we have put in place to protect our environment:

Water savings
To limit the waste of this precious resource, we have installed water-saving devices in our showers and taps. The watering of our green spaces is also optimised thanks to a drip system, which operates mainly at night to reduce evaporation.
Responsible lighting
We have fitted 95 % of the lighting in our facilities with low-energy bulbs. This not only reduces our energy consumption, but also minimises our ecological footprint.
Selective sorting of waste
When you arrive, you will receive a TRIBAG bag to help you sort your waste (packaging, glass, etc.). We have also set up collection points for batteries, to make it easier to recycle them.
Energy consumption monitoring
We read our water and electricity meters every month to monitor our consumption and improve our energy efficiency. This vigilance helps us to identify opportunities to reduce consumption.
Local vegetation
Every year we plant new trees and shrubs, giving preference to local species. This promotes biodiversity and helps to beautify our sites while supporting the local ecosystem.
No chemical pesticides
To protect flora and fauna, we use no chemicals in the upkeep of our green spaces. We opt for ecological management methods that respect nature.
Soft mobility
We have switched to electric vehicles for all our internal travel within the campsites. This initiative considerably reduces our CO2 emissions and contributes to a healthier environment.

Green Key

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have been awarded the Green Key label for our Chadotel La Trévillière campsite.

The Clef Verte label distinguishes tourist accommodation and restaurants committed to a voluntary, effective and dynamic environmental approach. The label is awarded annually by an independent jury made up of experts and professionals from the tourism and environment sectors.
