Senior holidays
As a senior citizen, this is the best position to be in, as you're still in great shape and just want to take some time for yourself. The best time to go is in June or September, when the weather is mild and prices are much more affordable. If you have grandchildren, camping is the best way to enjoy them without having to run around because they always want to do something, everything is on the spot, or almost.
If you book before or after the season, you'll benefit from the best prices, with the chance to take advantage of all the campsite facilities. The restaurant, bar and grocery shop open at the beginning of May, and the campsites are not full, so you'll have the impression of being privileged. As soon as you arrive, there will be less of a wait at reception than in high season. At the pool, the deckchairs won't be crowded and there won't be much noise.
If you go away with your grandchildren instead, you won't have these advantages, but many others. First of all, the joy of being able to enjoy them, as well as having time for yourself. In fact, your grandchildren will be able to take part in the activities on the campsites, having fun and meeting up with you afterwards. If you like the activities, you can even join in with them!
